Guys, today we’ll be looking at some of the credit cards being offered by Citibank and US Bank.
Previously, I discussed the different cards from Chase – a personal favorite – and American Express, so be sure to check those blogs out.
Best Credit Cards to Build Credit – CitiBank Credit Cards
As we talked about in the previous blogs, each bank has their individual rules when it comes to their credit card application rules.
CitiBank is no exception and you’ll want to follow these rules as accurately as possible.
Doing this ensures that you’re able to get a 100% approval rating every time!
For CitiBank personal credit cards, you can’t apply for more than one personal card every eight days, and you can, at most, get two personal cards every 65 days.
For their business credit cards, you can only apply every 95 days and only get the sign-up bonus on the same card every two years.
My favorite Citi credit card follows:
80,000 point sign up bonus
3x at restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, and travel
1x on everything else
$95 annual fee
Please apply through the link above to lock in the 80K point sign up bonus.
US Bank Credit Cards
US Bank offers a lot of 0% business cards, as well as a very smooth online presence which can make forming a relationship with them easy and beneficial.
Here’s a few of their cards which can be extremely helpful:
US Bank Visa Platinum Personal Credit Card

Cell phone protection when paying your monthly cell bill with card
US Bank Altitude Go Visa Signature Card
4x points on takeout, food delivery, and dining
2x points at grocery stores, grocery delivery, streaming services, and gas stations
$15 credit for annual streaming service purchases, like Netflix and Spotify
0% APR for 12 months
US Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite Card
Earn 50,000 points worth $750 in travel
5x points on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked in the Altitude Rewards Center
3x points on travel and mobile wallet purchases
Get reimbursed up to $325 annually in automatic statement credits for eligible travel purchases, takeout, food delivery, and dining
If you need to build a bank relationship, along with your credit, the US Bank Secured Visa card is a great card to pick up.
And that’s it. Those are my top 4 best credit cards to help build your credit.
With all of these banks, I advise that you build your bank relationship with a personal credit card account first before getting into business credit cards.
Having an established personal account will help open the doors for better approval odds.
