How a Credit Card Can Help You Skip the Lines At Airport Security

Updated: Mar 1, 2023

If you're anything like me, you hate waiting in line.

So stop doing it.

You're an entrepreneur who has places to go!

Your business credit cards have already opened so many doors for you, regarding building and scaling your business. You can also travel the world through points on the cards you spend with.

Not to mention, with the right credit cards, you can access luxurious airport lounges to put you in the right mood before you board.

Don't let the waiting line at the TSA slow you down from getting from point A to Point B, especially not for international travel.

Do what I do and skip the lines, using Global Entry and TSA Pre-Check.

What is Global Entry?

If you have come back from an international flight, you're familiar with customs. The line is the worst, sometimes taking hours to get through. It feels like a splash of cold water to ruin the high from your trip.

Global entry is a pass that allows you to skip the customs line when you return to the United States. It costs $100 and only works when returning to the US from abroad.

However, I have a hack that allows me to get a global entry for free, and yes, it's all through my business cards.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the American Express Business Platinum card offer global entry for free, but you need to activate them. It will not automatically apply to your card.

Also, when you apply for global entry, you'll need to have an in-person meeting either at the on-site location near your airport or the next time you go through immigration.

I prefer the second choice, since I'll already be at the airport for my next trip. But if you live close enough to the airport, the first option works great too.

When you apply for the global entry, the TSA Pre-Check is also included but you need to do it in the right order.

How to access TSA Pre-Check

Global entry will automatically get you a TSA pre-check. However, TSA pre-check will not get you global entry. So, in order to use TSA pre-check, be sure to use the credit card with the global entry benefit already activated on it.

So if you're using your Chase Sapphire Reserve card, it will issue a credit for you to use on your pre-check. That's how you get it for free.

TSA Pre-Check is a great benefit because you don't have to worry about silly things, like taking your shoes off or taking out your laptop at security.

How credit cards help your travel experience

As a reminder, TSA Pre-Check is only available for pre-flight and Global Entry is for returning to the US.

It all boils down to getting the right cards with the right benefits. These tips and tricks are just some of the many benefits I offer in my Credit Stacking mentorship.

When you join Credit Stacking, you learn how to build a line of credit cards. This gets you access to the benefits you need to scale your business, live the life of a celebrity, and obtain financial freedom.
